In a commentary for The Guardian newspaper today, China Labour Bulletin Director, Han Dongfang, argues that a new era of worker activism in China has forced the All-China Federation of Trade Unions to look for ways to genuinely represent workers’ interests and, as such, he calls on the international trade union movement to reassess its approach to the ACFTU.
