Explosion of fireworks kills at least 21 people

According to reports, the death toll in a massive fireworks explosion in Fujian Province has risen to 21, with some 30 people hospitalized.
The blast, which flattened five homes and damaged a further 20, occurred at a private home in Shadi village which was used to store fireworks.
The Legal Daily was reported as stating that provincial officials in Fujian Province were conducting a crackdown on safety violations after the blast.
