Seven dead in mine explosion in Liaoyang

At least seven miners died after a gas explosion at a privately owned mine in Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province. The blast took place some 400 – 500 metres underground when some 11 miners were working.

Four miners were rescued but the bodies of the remaining seven were recovered dead.

Chinese mine has reportedly left seven people dead and four injured.

It is not known what caused the accident.
