Fifteen miners believed to have died in a flood at a coal mine in Hunan Province

According to reports, 15 miners are feared dead after the Jicai graphite mine in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province was flooded on 29 April 2003. The flood trapped 18 miners in the coal mine. Three of them were rescued but the remaining 15 are believed to be dead unless they are found soon.

According to an official quoted in the reports, more than 60 rescue workers were at the scene.
